St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus Endorses Tammie McClafferty for School Board, District 4
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — Oct. 6, 2026 — The St. Johns County Republican Liberty Caucus is proud to endorse Tammie McClafferty for the St. Johns County School Board, District 4.
Dr. McClafferty has worked as a public school teacher, a principal and the founder of multiple schools. She brings a parents-and-taxpayer first approach to a board entrusted with setting the direction for our children and grandchildren.
"Tammie McClafferty has run a school and even built them from the ground up," said Sean Carpenter, chair of the Republican Liberty Caucus. "She understands that parents are partners, not obstacles, and that every dollar the district spends was first earned by a St. Johns County family."
McClafferty holds a doctorate in organizational leadership and master's degrees in teaching and religious studies. She is a former principal of Accotink Academy, a professor of leadership and education, and CEO of Lifework Leadership First Coast.
Her opponent, Jillian Tozer, is running as a nonpartisan moderate, but her record says otherwise. Tozer is a Philadelphia transplant who lists voting in every Democratic primary from 2014 through 2022, was featured by the St. Johns County Democratic Party and is endorsed by the Jacksonville Area NOW PAC.
Her iVoterGuide questionnaire is even more revealing. Asked whether boys should be allowed in girl's sports, locker rooms and bathrooms, Tozer answered "Agree." She answered "Neutral" on whether pornographic books should be exempt from obscenity laws. St. Johns County parents have already done the hard work of removing sexually explicit material from our school libraries, and her answer would open the door to bringing it back.
"Voters deserve to know where a candidate actually stands, not just the label on her yard signs," Carpenter said. "Tammie McClafferty will stand with parents, protect fairness for our girls and respect the taxpayers who fund our schools. She is the clear choice for District 4."
